Lines to the Future

During the celebration of her 75th anniversary, on 2 December 2011, Aletta launched the Lines to the Future project. Together with Fatusch Productions, Aletta will collect 7500 letters from 11-year-old girls and boys about their dreams for the future.

A total of 7500 11-year-olds will be asked to write two duplicate letters addressed to themselves 25 years in the future. One of the two letters will be saved by Aletta as ‘future heritage’ and will be sent back to the writers in 25 years’ time. The second will be u...
 

Core European feminist texts online

For the first time, core feminist texts from the second wave of feminism in Europe have been made available to researchers in an easily accessible online database. The aim of the FRAGEN project is to facilitate comparative research into the history of feminist thinking in different European countries.

Bring together

The FRAGEN project, coordinated by Aletta, Institute for Women’s History brings together books, articles and pamphlets that were influential in the development of feminist ideas in EU member states, Turkey and Croatia during the second half of the 20th century.

Aletta 75 years!

In 2010 Aletta, Institute for Women’s History existed 75 years! The memorandum of association of Aletta’s predecessor, the International Archive of the Women’s Movement, was signed on the 3rd of December 1935.

Aletta has a rich international oriented collection. Now Aletta also offers remote access to a large fulltext online database: Women and Social Movements International. Aletta will offer access to more digital collections in the future.
