Empowerment
Achieving women’s rights and empowerment is one of Aletta’s four core objectives. Aletta supports women globally by providing them with access to information.

Achieving women’s rights and empowerment through access to information
Women who want to stand up for their rights and improve their position in society need access to information. Aletta collects as much information as possible about women’s rights, empowerment and cultural heritage and shares it with women all over the world.Customized information
Aletta develops innovative new products in order to meet the objective of making information as widely available as possible – products such as interactive websites, digital curriculum materials and oral history archives. Our website is another of the key ways that we provide customized access to information. An advanced search function allows you to access all of the information in Aletta’s collection with just the click of the mouse. If you are not able to find what you are looking for, Aletta’s staff is ready to assist you and to provide the specific answers that you are looking for.Ask a question
Do it yourself
Through our international projects, Aletta encourages women to share information among themselves. You can do this by building your own website or setting up a network to share knowledge and information. This allows women all over the world to contribute to achieving women’s rights and empowerment.Collecting stories
Telling personal stories can also make a contribution to advancing women’s rights and empowering women. Aletta collects women’s stories from the past and the present in order to ensure that the lives of extraordinary women, brave women and ‘ordinary’ women are all part of the historical canon.Black, migrant and refugee women
Aletta is committed to collecting information about and developing information services for black, migrant and refugee women, and these activities are woven throughout all of our activities. For more information
