Women’s rights and empowerment through information
As far as Aletta is concerned, access to information is absolutely essential for women to be empowered and to secure their rights. In many places in the world, it is difficult for women to find or access the information they need. That is why Aletta developed the Mapping the World database.
Submitting information on information centers
Please let us know if the women’s information centre that you would like to register is not yet included in the Mapping the World database or if data have to be updated. Download the forms (.doc) format, fill them with your data, save local and then send them as attachement back to

The database is also available on a CD-ROM for women living or working in areas with little or no Internet access. Aletta makes cd-roms for free available to partners in the Mapping the World database.Others can order copies of the cd-rom at a cost price of € 15 each.
