Video archive
Aletta has a digital video archive of the feminist movements of the second half of the 20th century that is fully searchable via the internet.
The Dutch Women’s Health Movement
Using the latest in speech recognition technology, you can search in the collection of interviews with key figures in the women’s health movement, one of the many feminist movements in the 1970s and 80s. (Please note that a speech recognition search must be performed in Dutch.) This video archive is being built in phases. At the moment, Aletta has recorded ten interviews with women (and one man) who played key roles in the Dutch Women’s Health Movement in the 1970s and 80s.A growing archive
At the moment, we are working on a series of interviews about Dolle Mina, a Dutch feminist activist group that was founded in 1969. Our goal is to eventually document the entire breadth of the feminist movements of the second half of the 20th century using video interviews. One day, we hope to have a video archive of more than a hundred interviews. For more information about the Video History project
